Day Habilitation

The Day Habilitation program at Fidelis Support Services assists and instructs clients in a variety of life and social skills, including ADLs and successful social interactions with their peers and the community.  Depending on the individual, activities may include cooking, social skills training, activities to promote a positive self-image, interpersonal interaction skills training, computer skills, budgets and handling money, craft activities, and seeking out and participating in community events.  These are just a few of the opportunities available, and each individual program will be designed to address each participant's unique needs and interests.

Our staff will assist each participant in either one-on-one or small group activities, developing their skill set, providing feedback and guidance, and encouraging each participant to grow and learn as an individual.  Staff will monitor each participant for needed support, and document progress regarding any team goal established for that participant,

Successful participants in the Day Habilitation program will learn and be able to interact with other participants and community member on a regular basis, participate in activities for growth, learning and enjoyment, develop relationships with other participants and staff, work on skills needed to promote independence, self-reliance, self-worth, confidence and a positive self-image, and become active members of the program and the community at large.
